snow covers (hoping the grass is gone)

I know it's still very much winter, but there's something about the New Year that energizes me. Maybe it's all the resolutions I see on facebook or the fact that my calendar still looks like I have room for more. Somehow, I feel more inclined to action than I did a week ago.

If you visit The Faith Garden (or just about any garden around here), you won't see much. Snow covers. And this winter, snow insulates and holds in moisture. Hopefully, by the time the snow has melted, time and microorganisms will have completed their work and there won't be any evidence of all the cardboard and newspapers we laid down. And if we've been successful, there won't be any evidence of grass, either! If you worked in the garden last season, you know our most pervasive weed was grass. Though Lasagna Gardening is no proven science, there are plenty of practicing believers that we trusted this past year.

Before your calendar gets too full, consider including The Faith Garden in your summer plans. Click here to sign up. You will receive an email once we have scheduled our Spring Kickoff. From there, you will also be able to sign up for work days with your family and neighbors throughout the summer.
