a new spring

It's been a gentle winter, and now a new season is pushing its way through our busy schedules!  Our Spring Kick-Off is scheduled for Saturday, 12 May at 2pm.  Share the fun with your family as we transplant seedlings, sow seeds and more.  We will have refreshments and cold beverages.  Please bring your gardening tools.  We look forward to seeing you there!

work days

Now that the garden is in full bloom, we will be having work days every Wednesday evening at 730pm.  Bring your children, friends and neighbors.  Most weeks there will be something to harvest, and as part of this new community garden, you'll get to take some home with you!  Every week, there will be weeding and other work to do, so bring some water.

spring kick-off

The threat of frost is quickly fading, and my seedlings are thrilled.  Many of us have had the opportunity to watch baby tomatoes, cucumbers, squash and other seeds emerge and faithfully grow in our homes.  As much fun as it is to have my dining room taken over by plants, it's time to get these little guys in the ground.  We'll have our Spring Kick-Off next Saturday, 21 May at 1pm.  Invite your friends, family and neighbor to this community event.  We'll transplant, sow, turn compost and find other fun tasks to do.  This will be kid friendly, so give the sitter a break and show your kids the right way to get grass stains.  Of course we'll have refreshments and cold drinks.  Hope you can make it!
